Your Place to Land.

YZD is where Toronto's next chapter begins. Spanning 370 acres on the former Downsview Airport lands, YZD is North America's largest urban redevelopment project and the city’s next great destination. More than a series of transit-connected neighbourhoods, YZD is shifting Toronto’s centre of gravity north, bringing homes, workplaces, nature, culture, and public life together around a reimagined Runway.

The future of Toronto isn't waiting. It's already taking shape at YZD.

Acres of Pure Possibility

At the heart of North America’s fastest growing region, YZD is a once-in-a-generation city-building opportunity at a scale Toronto has never seen.

Honouring Indigenous History

These lands are part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, signatories of Treaty 13 and Host First Nation to YZD. For thousands of years, it has been the Traditional Territory of many First Nations, including the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee peoples. We are committed to the wise stewardship of these lands and to meaningful engagement and partnership with Indigenous Peoples, as we strive to shape communities welcoming to all.

Led by Northcrest Developments

Northcrest Developments is leading the transformation of YZD. Based in Toronto, Northcrest is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP), a federal Crown Corporation and one of Canada's largest pension investors.

Over the coming decades, Northcrest will transform this former airport into a vibrant new part of the city, with transit-connected neighbourhoods centrally connected by the reimagined Runway – slated to become one of the most iconic public spaces in North America.
